Introduction
Athletics Academy is a new school opening in September 2021 in Merton, south-west London. The school will cater for pupils aged 11-18 and will specialise in athletics.
The school has been established by Harris Academy Merton, which is part of the Harris Federation ufffd one of the largest academy chains in England.
Wimbledon Academy will be the lead partner for Athletics Academy, providing expertise and resources in sports science, medicine and coaching.
We are delighted to be able to offer this unique opportunity to talented young athletes in the borough. The academy will provide an excellent education as well as expert training and facilities, giving our students the best possible chance to fulfil their potential.

The Harris Academy Merton is a brand new state-of-the-art athletics academy that opened its doors in September 2021. The facility includes a six-lane 25m pool, an eight-court sports hall, a 100m sprint track, a gymnasium and a dance studio.
The academy also has excellent facilities for disabled athletes with two hoists, two Changing Places toilets and four accessible parking spaces.
